So it turns out the side that claims to be compassionate also includes people making death threats to people solely because they disagree with them politically. And to call that deranged and bigoted does not even begin to describe it.

Sen. Thom Tillis has released audio of death threats his office has received and it’s worse than you think.

According to Fox News:

Voicemails shared by Tillis' team, which were filled with profanity and fueled by discontent with President Donald Trump, reveal a frightening new reality. The senator's senior advisor, Daniel Keylin, said "the volume of threats and harassment directed at members of Congress and their staff is the new normal."

Keylin said Tillis' office in Greenville, North Carolina, received a handwritten and unsigned letter postmarked in Greensboro last month calling his staff members "sacrificial lambs" and insisting they "signed up to be his shield." The anonymous writer, while reiterating "in no way is this a threat," said people are going to start "coming in filled with rage."

Only deranged leftists could portray themselves as a victim while making some of the most unhinged comments to a senator and his family.

The voicemails released by Tillis' office express outrage over Trump's policies and include violent threats to Tillis and his staff.

Oh, absolutely. This is obviously the way a calm and rational person would respond when things don’t go their way.

"…When things get really bad, people are going to stop calling and writing. They’re going to start coming in, and they’re going to be coming in filled with rage… And you signed up to be his shield. Resign, please resign, or find a Groupon for self defense class because America’s transition to oligarchy is going to be a wild ride for us peons," reads the anonymous letter sent to Tillis.

The anonymous writer references "America's transition to oligarchy," a term that has been used by the left to describe the alleged rising power of the billionaire class.

Firstly, the fact that these people are concerned about officials who have become wealthy prior to working in government, such as Trump or Musk, while not showing nearly this much outrage over people whose wealth has grown only after they have been in office, is rather telling of their priorities. These people don’t care about whether or not politicians or bureaucrats are rich, they only care because the media tells them to care. However, they have become radicalized to such a degree that they have resorted to death threats and to call that unsurprising would be an understatement.

These people are so naive, so much so that they believe they are justified in these threats for reasons they could not even begin to explain. However, this is not something that will ever be moral but it’s both comical and pathetic that they think this makes them the compassionate ones.

Sure, not all leftists are unhinged enough to threaten sitting senators—but it’s ironic how the only ones who are that unhinged always seem to be on the left. That pretty much tells you everything you need to know, doesn’t it?
